Support: Using an Existing Domain with our Servers

Domain Nameserver Information

The information provided will assist you in the process of using an existing Domain with our servers. If you have any questions about the process please let us know.  Keep in mind, these are instructions on updating your domain record with your current registrar, not how to change Registrars.  Should you need to change Registrars let us know.

  • You will first need to determine where your domain was registered.  If you cannot figure this out let us know and will track it down for you.  This will most likely not be your current web host.  Please do not e-mail them and ask.  We can get this information for you.
  • After determining where your domain was registered you will need to contact them and provide the following information.  This information will replace your current DNS information. Most modern registrars have an automated control panel where you can enter this information yourself.

Our DNS Information

Primary Server: NS1.LEVEL9HOSTING.COM

Secondary Server:  NS2.LEVEL9HOSTING.COM

The above information is the only information that needs to be changed to use our service. Please allow 72hrs for most registrars to make the changes and for the changes to propagate across the Internet.

Questions and Answers about Using an existing Domain.

May I change registrars and change my domain registration to you?
We no longer offer a domain registration service,  because the overwhelming feedback from our customers is that they prefer to use the larger registration services like Godaddy.com or Register.com Yes, by default you are sent instructions on how to update your domain

What is a Registrar?
A registrar is a company that controls and maintains domain registrations and domain records.  You as the domain owner can alter these domain records to work with any web host. A lot of domain owners do not know where their domain was registered. If you registered your domain with a web hosting company, chances are they are not your domains registrar. Your old web host most likely has an account with an acredited registrar. If you are unsure where your domain was registered or how to update your domain record contact us and we can help.
